Aurora is also known as "The city of lights" and is located in the northeastern part of Illinois in Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will County. Major roads serving Aurora include: Illinois State Route 31, Illinois State Route 56, Illinois State Route 59, US Route 30, US Route 34 and Interstate Highway 88.

Aurora Municipal Airport (AUZ) is a small public use municipal airport located a seventeen minutes drive from Aurora. The airport is mostly used for general aviation and charter services. It is also the designated reliever airport for O'Hare International and Chicago Midway.

O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is the main airport serving the state of Illinois and the second busiest airport in the world. The airport can be reached after a forty-eight minutes drive from downtown Aurora.
