Boise City is also known as the "City of Trees" and shortened by residents to "Boise". Boise City is the capital of Idaho. Boise City is located in the southwestern part of Idaho in Ada County. Boise Airport (BOI) is a joint military and civilian airport. In addition to commercial and general aviation the Idaho Air National Guard uses the airport.
