Cambridge is located in the eastern part of Massachusetts in Middlesex County County. Major roads serving Cambridge include: Massachusetts State Route 128, Massachusetts State Route 129, Massachusetts State Route 16, Massachusetts State Route 1A, Massachusetts State Route 2, Massachusetts State Route 3, Massachusetts State Route 3A, US Route 1, US Route 3, Interstate Highway 90, Interstate Highway 93 and Interstate Highway 95.
Logan International Airport (BOS) is the busiest airport in the State of Massachusetts. The airport is served by many different airlines including: Continental Airlines, Continental Express, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, Delta Shuttle, Northwest Airlink, American Airlines, American Eagle, Spirit Airlines, Virgin America, Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, Alaska Airlines, US Airways, US Airways Express and US Airways Shuttle. Logan International is located fifteen minutes from Cambridge.
Norwood Memorial Airport (OWD) is a public airport owned by the Town of Norwood. Currently the airport is only used for general aviation and charter flight services. Norwood Memorial Airport can be reached after a thirty-four minutes flight from downtown Cambridge.
Beverly Municipal Airport (BVY) is a small public airport owned and operated by the City of Beverly. The majority of the airport's traffic comes from general aviation and there are currently no passenger airlines providing services to this airport. Beverly Municipal Airport can be reached after a forty minutes drive from Cambridge.
Hanscom Field (BED) is a mid-sized publically owned airport. The airport can be reached by car after a twenty-one minutes drive from downtown Cambridge. The airport's only commercial airline is Linear Air providing direct service to Nantucket.
Commuter Rail, Green Line, Red Line, MBTA and Amtrak transit systems all offer reliable, comfortable, affordable and quick transportation within and outside of the city of Cambridge. Walking and biking paths are also available and are a popular way of getting places in the city of Cambridge.
