Concord in located in the west central part of California in the Contra Costa County.  Concord is bordered by Clyde on the north, Pittsburg and Bay Point on the northeast, Clayton on the southeast, Walnut Creek on the south, and Pleasant Hill and Pacheco on the west.  Concord is bordered by Interstate Highway 680, State Highways 4, State Highway 242, Port Chicago Highway Concord Boulevard, Clayton Road, Concord Avenue and Willow Pass Road. 

Concord is warm and sunny during the summer with temperatures in the 70’s and cold chilly days during the winter with temperatures in the 40’s.

Buchanan Field Airport (CCR) is located around seven minutes away from downtown Concord by car.  The Buchanan Field Airport is used for general aviation.
