Fresno, California

Fresno is located in the central part of California is the Fresno County.  Fresno’s nickname is Fresno, the All America City and Raisin Capital of the World.  Fresno experiences hot summers with temperatures in the 80’s and mild winters with temperatures in the 40’s.  Some of the cities around Fresno include: Easton on the south; Calwa and Malaga on the southeast; Las Palmas and Sunnyside on the east; Clovis on the northeast; Pinedale on the north; Highway City and the Hemdon on the northwest; Kerman, Rolinda and Pratton on the west; and Raisin City on the southwest.  Some of Fresno’s major roads include: State Route 41, State Route 99, State Route 168 and State Route 180.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) is located around twelve minutes away from downtown Fresno by car.  Some of the airline carriers found in the Fresno Yosemite International Airport are: Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, US Airways and Mexicana.

Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (FCH) and Sierra Sky Park Airport (FAA) are both open for the public and are options used for general aviation.

Amtrak San Joaquins, Fresno Area Express and Greyhound all serve the city of Fresno providing it with transportation throughout and outside the city.

For those who enjoy nature will love visiting Woodward Park, Roeding Park and Kearney Park.  The Wookward Park is adjacent to the San Joaquin River Parkway and is home to the Shinzen Japanese Gardens, various miles of trails and many picnic areas.  Located near Downtown Fresno you will find Roeding Park which features the Rotary Playland and Storyland and Chaffee Zoological Gardens. Kearney Park hosts the annual Civil War Revisited and is home to the Kearney Mansion.
