Hartford is also known as "The Insurance Capital of the World", "The Heartbeat" and "New England's Rising Star" and is the capital of Connecticut. Hartford is located in the northern central part of Connecticut in Capitol Region. Bradley International Airport (BDL) can be reached by car after a nineteen minutes drive from Hartford. Bradley International Airport is one of the busiest airports in Connecticut and it is served by a variety of airlines. Hartford has cold winters with temperatures around the 20's and warm summers with temperatures averaging close to seventy degrees Fahrenheit. January is the coldest month with temperature averages close to fifteen degrees while the hottest month is July when temperatures can surpass the eighty-degree mark.
