Mobile is located in the southwestern corner of Alabama. Mobile is the only seaport in Alabama, and it is the tenth largest in the United States. This celebration for some starts as early as November with exclusive parties, then a New Year’s Eve ball, others however, wait until January 6. They have parades with floats and horseback ridding, king cake parties and masquerade parties. In the parades they give gifts to everyone, like candies, small toys, plastic beads, footballs, Frisbees, and many more small gifts. Usually a major parade is done each day during the last two weeks before Mardi Gras and end in the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. There traditional colors are gold, green and purple.
