Quincy, Massachusetts
Quincy also known as "City of Presidents", "City of Legends" and "Birthplace of the American Dream" is located in the eastern part of Massachusetts in Norfolk County. Quincy is surrounded by: Milton Village, Mattapan, Bellevue Hill and Newton to the northwest; Quincy Bat, Dorchester Bay, Boston and Chelsea to the north; Nahant, Nathant Bay, Swampscott and Marbelhead to the northeast; Hingham Bay, Hull, Hinghan and Cohasset to the east; Weymouth, Accord, Assinippi and North Haover to the southeast; Braintree, Holbrook, Brockton and Avon to the south; Randolph, Stoughton, Sharon and Walpole to the southwest; and Milton, Readville, Dedham and Dover to the west. Major roads serving Quincy include: Massachusetts State Route 128, Massachusetts State Route 138, Massachusetts State Route 139, Massachusetts State Route 203, Massachusetts State Route 228, Massachusetts State Route 24, Massachusetts State Route 28, Massachusetts State Route 3, Massachusetts State Route 3A, Massachusetts State Route 53, US Route 1, Interstate Highway 90, Interstate Highway 93 and Interstate Highway 95.
Norwood Memorial Airport (OWD) is a public airport owned by the Town of Norwood. Currently the airport is only used for general aviation and charter flight services. Norwood Memorial Airport can be reached after a twenty-one flight from downtown Quincy.
Logan International Airport (BOS) is the busiest airport in the State of Massachusetts. The airport is served by many different airlines including: Continental Airlines, Continental Express, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, Delta Shuttle, Northwest Airlink, American Airlines, American Eagle, Spirit Airlines, Virgin America, Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, Alaska Airlines, US Airways, US Airways Express and US Airways Shuttle. Logan International is located twenty-one minutes from Quincy.
Hanscom Field (BED) is a mid-sized publicly owned airport. The airport can be reached by car after a forty-two minutes drive from downtown Quincy. The airport's only commercial airline is Linear Air providing direct service to Nantucket.
Beverly Municipal Airport (BVY) is a small public airport owned and operated by the City of Beverly. The majority of the airport's traffic comes from general aviation and there are currently no passenger airlines providing services to this airport. Beverly Municipal Airport can be reached after a forty-nine minutes drive from Quincy.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority provides a subway service, a commuter boat system and various bus lines throughout and outside of the city of Quincy.
