Waterloo is located in the northeastern part of Iowa in Black Hawk County. Waterloo Regional Airport (ALO) is a mid-sized regional airport owned by the City of Waterloo. The airport is located twelve minutes from downtown Waterloo. Northwest Airlink is the only airline providing scheduled commercial service to Waterloo regional.

Mason City Municipal Airport (MCW) is a mid-sized regional airport owned by Mason City. The airport is a one-hour and forty-two minutes drive from Waterloo. Northwest Airlink is the only airline providing scheduled commercial service with direct flight to Fort Dodge and Minneapolis.
